Overview of Job Function:
The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in achievement of the Voice of Customer (VoC) business unit’s financial goals. The target market for VoC is the contact center, Customer Experience and digital buying centers in large enterprise. Working a geographic territory, in close partnership with 2 outside sales Account Executives, the Business Development Representative is accountable for prospecting, lead qualification and scheduling meetings between qualified prospects and Account Executives.
The position will be responsible for maintaining several key relationships:
•Account Executives and other Business Development Representatives
•Marketing and demand generation teams
•Other business functions including Customer Success and Services
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute a territory lead generation strategy, in partnership with Account Executives, to exceed performance metrics and financial goals.
•Prospect through outbound channels including telephone, email and social media to achieve monthly scheduled meeting quota.
•Qualify inbound leads resulting from demand generation programs, web inquiries, referrals and events.
•Partner with Account Executives to nurture opportunities through the sales cycle.
•Apply past experience and ongoing professional development to establish deep domain expertise in the industries, critical business issues and buying processes of VoC target markets.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business
•3+ years of experience in an Inside Sales or like function
•Proven track record in a commissioned enterprise technology sales or prospecting role
•Results-driven, self-starter, able to work with discipline and focus with limited direct supervision
•Demonstrable professionalism interacting with C-level executives in large enterprises
•Ability to crisply articulate business value aligned to a prospect’s critical business issues
•Demonstrated success in working with cross functional teams
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
•Relevant client-side or digital agency experience
•Prior experience working with Retail, Financial Services, Travel and Hospitality or other highly transactional digital industries.
•Practical experience using salesforce.com
