Role Purpose

The Software Engineer works with members of the R&D organization and is responsible for developing visually appealing, feature rich, highly usable web applications. The desired candidate should possess knowledge of commonly used web development technologies, concepts, and practices. This individual will be designing, implementing, and testing enterprise web applications in a fast-paced, customer centric, environment

In what areas will you perform?

Engineering Work

  • Collaborates in an Agile development process, reviewing features, and executing the development effort;

  • Designs, implements, and tests moderately complex software applications;

  • Technical analysis and problem solving;

  • Work comfortably and independently in a team environment distributed across the globe;

  • Actively communicate concepts, progress on tasks, and challenges to the scrum team;

  • Creates essential technical documentation;

  • Provides internal and production support of developed products;

  • Maintains a degree of creativity and the ability to plan and control own work while able to multi-task;

Issue Escalation

  • Identify, highlight and if possible resolve issues - otherwise escalate issues to senior team members.


  • Report daily progress of your tasks to your team lead.

  • Provide appropriate and regular communication to all relevant parties.

  • Provide regular updates about self-development and learning needs to mentor / line manager.

Skills & Experience


  • Experience developing quality production software;

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills;

  • Ability to work with multiple product teams;



  • 2+ years of development experience building web applications/systems;

  • Proven experience with Microsoft classic ASP and/or.NET technology

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and XML;

  • Basic understanding of SQL;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of solid web UI design and skills;

  • Experience developing quality production software;


  • Experience with jQuery, Angular or React preferred;

  • Experience with Pyhton preferred;

  • Experience building test driven software;

  • Familiarity with MYSQL, SQLserver or similar RDB;

  • Experience building RESTful services

Specific Qualifications & Accreditations
