Customer (Pre-Sales) Solutions Consultant

Summary:

The Customer Solutions Consultant’s main role is to support the Account Executives to progress sales opportunities by understanding customers’ business challenges, working collaboratively to define an overall solution to meet those challenges using a combination of Verint products, professional services, managed services and support, helping the sales team to articulate the value of the product and services being considered.

In addition, the Customer Solutions Consultant will be instrumental in the execution of Verint’s Customer Engagement Program (CEP) to create Customers4Life. The CEP is key to ensuring our customer’s ongoing success and involves working with customers to assess their satisfaction with Verint products and services, the benefits they have derived from their investment and, ultimately, their level of advocacy for Verint and propensity to recommend Verint as a brand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the sales process and be driven to help the team achieve the Verint EIS Sales Plan financial targets.

  • Key focus on ongoing customer success

  • Build and maintain deep knowledge and proficiency within a nominated domain, covering the value proposition, messaging, domain expertise, application and technical product knowledge.

  • Preparation of solution & technical response documents and presentation of same to customers and partners

  • Execute activities related to the Verint Customer Engagement Program to ensure that we have Customers4Life

Support and Drive the Sales process

  • Drive sales opportunities forward by performing customer requirements discoveries, validation of needs, value conversations and coming up with solutions that will meet customer needs and exceed their expectations.

  • Deliver effective sales and product demonstrations to prospects that showcase a product fit and customer value.

  • Manage and author response to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.

  • Provide sales collaterals such as pricing estimates, quotes, solution designs documents and statement of works.

Center of Excellence

  • Be the technical advisor and product advocate, and know how and why our products and solutions are being used.

  • Assist with trade shows and conferences, including delivery of seminars.

  • Promote “The Verint Way” throughout the company – Integrity, Transparency, Humility, Innovation and Passion.

Operationalize Risk Management as part of the sales process

  • Provide accurate and cost-effective solutions to address specific customer needs.

  • Review final proposals to ensure accuracy of product functionality statements.

  • Incorporate commercial, financial and risk management aspects as part of the sales process to drive sustainable long term relationships with our customers and partners.

Drive Customer Success

  • Understand and match customer business needs.

  • Transfer knowledge from the pre-sale phase to the post-sale teams and support the Implementation team to ensure the customer’s expectations are understood and met.

  • Execute on our Customers4Life and Customer Engagement Programs

Key experience, skills and personal attributes:

  • Thorough understanding of pre-sales and previous experience in presale role.

  • Ability to quickly understand client requirements and needs and articulate potential solutions

  • Ability to translate business requirements into compelling solution demonstrations & ability to effectively present technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Demonstrable commercial acumen.

  • Effective engagement with key stakeholders in all facets of the sales cycle (design, architecture, validation, pricing estimates, value proposition, methodology, best practice) and be influential in such dialogue.

  • Positive can do attitude.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Good listening skills.

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work as a team, yet work independently on complex business / technical problems

  • Proven ability to handle deadlines and manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and time frames.

  • Works independently with limited supervision.

  • Previous knowledge in Verint or related products

  • Demonstrable knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Windows operating systems.

  • Must be able to travel mostly Interstate, some international travel may be required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in technology and/or business or equivalent is desirable.
